Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Hostopy.com, our goal is to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase. We share this Refund Policy to be transparent about what can and cannot be refunded, and how our cancellation process works. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Standard Money-Back Guarantee

We provide a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee on eligible Shared Hosting plans. If you are not satisfied with our services for any reason, you may request a refund within thirty (30) days of the initial transaction date.

Note: The money-back guarantee period begins on the date you first ordered the service, not the date you activated it or started using it.

2. Products Not Eligible for Refunds

To maintain our competitive pricing, certain costs incurred by Hostopy.com are non-recoverable. Therefore, strictly NO REFUNDS will be issued for:

  • VPS, Cloud VPS, and Dedicated Servers: Infrastructure services (including AWS or Google Cloud Computing resell services) involve immediate provisioning costs and are not eligible for the 30-day guarantee.
  • Domain Name Registrations, Transfers, or Renewals: Please check spelling carefully before purchasing. Typos cannot be corrected or refunded.
  • Software Licenses: Any control panel licenses (cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin), WHMCS, Operating System licenses, or add-ons (like Softaculous) purchased through us.
  • SSL Certificates: Once issued and installed, SSL fees are non-refundable.
  • Professional Services: Fees for site migration, custom configuration, premium support, or IP address setup.
  • Redemption Fees: Costs associated with recovering an expired domain name.

3. Cancellation Policy

You may terminate your services with Hostopy.com at any time. To ensure security, all cancellation requests must be made through the Client Area.

  1. Login to your account at Hostopy.com.
  2. Navigate to Services > My Services.
  3. Select the service you wish to cancel and click "Request Cancellation".
  4. You must describe your reason for cancellation.
  5. Select "Immediate" (service terminates instantly) or "End of Billing Period" (service remains active until the paid date).

Failure to pay an invoice or simply removing your credit card details does not constitute a cancellation request. You will continue to be billed until a formal cancellation request is submitted.

4. Payment Methods & Processing

  • Original Method: Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used (e.g., Credit Card, PayPal, UPI).
  • Store Credit: If the original payment method does not support refunds (e.g., certain bank transfers or older transactions), the refund will be credited to your Hostopy Client Balance for future use.
  • Processing Time: Please allow up to 14 business days for the refund to appear on your bank statement, depending on your financial institution.

5. Violation of Terms of Service (TOS)

Important: If your service is suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service (TOS) or Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), you forfeit all rights to a refund.

Violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Sending Spam or Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE).
  • Hosting Phishing sites or Malware.
  • Illegal activities or hosting prohibited content.
  • Abuse of system resources (CPU/RAM) on shared servers.

6. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your credit card company or PayPal, your account will be immediately suspended. We have a zero-tolerance policy for chargeback fraud. To restore service, you will be required to pay the disputed amount plus a penalty fee.

We encourage you to contact our Billing Department for assistance before initiating a dispute.

7. Wallet Balance / Funds

Funds added to your Hostopy Account Balance (Credit Balance) are non-refundable and can only be used to purchase services or pay invoices within Hostopy.com.
